Vargas Gallery, a professional university gallery developed by the Coordinator of Graphic Design, Henry Ballate, and Gallery Coordinator, Annie Y. Saldaña, with the support of Vargas University Executive Director. As gallery coordinator and curator, Annie Y. Saldaña developed a total of 19 exhibitions from August 2012 until February 2015.
Mission
Vargas Gallery mission is to encourage students, faculty, and the local community to participate in a creative environment that acquires and exhibits works of art that engage in a conversation with the contemporary artworld. Through exhibitions and seminars, Vargas Gallery aims to educate and create an ongoing dialogue with the public in the concepts of national and international contemporary art and its role in society. By exhibiting the work of students, faculty, emerging artists and established international and local artists, Vargas Gallery fosters education that stimulates critical thinking and art appreciation.
Vision
Vargas Gallery vision is to be an active participant of the art community in South Florida and abroad while enriching the quality of life and art knowledge of the Vargas University community.
