HILO: Textil en el Arte Contemporáneo travels to the west of Puerto Rico

El arte de los hilos y textiles
“Esta exhibición ya se había presentado en un espacio en San Juan que se llama El cuadrado gris, donde pude verla por primera vez. Al ver que se trataba de un material poco habitual en el mundo del arte contemporáneo, me interesó traerla al RUM. Muchas veces, la población del oeste no puede ir a las exposiciones de San Juan. Por eso, me pareció una oportunidad y una experiencia que no se podían perder. A Annie Saldaña, la curadora de la exhibición, le pareció excelente, ya que la Galería de Chardón tiene más espacio que el lugar principal donde se expusieron las piezas y, de esa forma, se podría exponer la colección completa”, expresó la doctora Emilia Quiñones Otal, catedrática del mencionado Departamento y coordinadora de la Galería
